Sumin is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurobiology at UChicago. She did her postdoctoral training in Hynek Wichterle’s lab at Columbia, and her graduate training in Sharad Ramanathan’s lab at Harvard. Her favorite lab activities are brainstorming research ideas, coding, and decompressing while making aliquots. Outside of the lab, Sumin likes to spend time with her family and run.

Brady is a Research Analyst in the Jang Lab at the University of Chicago's Department of Neurobiology. He is interested in how the nervous system develops and how those developmental programs shape function across one's lifespan. Previously, he worked in Dr. Alice Kane's lab at the Institute for Systems Biology (ISB), where he studied aging-related functional decline in mouse models by combining longitudinal phenotyping with DNA methylation data to link molecular signals to real-world physiology and performance. Looking forward, he's excited to build on his education and explore how neural development might be harnessed to promote repair. Outside the lab, Brady enjoys cooking, exploring new cities, and scuba diving!
